Pol Forn-Díaz
I am an experimental physicist interested in studying the interaction between light and matter in different physical systems. In my current work I use superconducting quantum circuits and microwave fields to study unexplored domains of quantum optics.
Previously I worked on manipulating ensembles of trapped neutral atoms interacting with the propagating mode of a photonic crystal waveguide.
My interests for the light-matter coupling started during my PhD where I used a superconducting qubit to couple to a resonator in the ultrastrong coupling regime. This was the first observation ever of this regime of light-matter interaction.
All my work orbits around the quantum science and the emerging quantum technologies.
